I teach chemistry because I want to share the excitement of understanding our natural world through scientific lenses. I believe that each student naturally and uniquely interacts to new learning opportunities while achieving knowledge. To help you acquire knowledge, I will:
upgrade your instruction with unique in-person and hands-on experiences,
challenge you to think about life experiences that demonstrate chemical concepts,
show you that success chemistry is engaging, exciting, and achievable - that you really learn by doing.
I will provide clear instructions and meaningful assessments for our learning goals.
I will be an active player in promoting a safe, supportive, and growth-mindset environment that is inclusive for all students.
I will treat you with dignity and respect and be flexible towards accommodating your unique, individual needs.
I am not perfect; I will view my mistakes as a learning opportunity. Is there anything you would like to add? You may suggest them via email: huynhw@piercecollege.edu.
You will be an active participant in class, put in your best effort to meet all scheduled due dates, and be an active communicator regarding reasonable accommodations as appropriate.
You will treat your peers and me with dignity and respect and contact me if there are any concerns.
You will do your best to be patient with technology and give yourself grace for all mistakes. You are human, mistakes are part of learning, and these are opportunities for growth.
Is there anything you would like to add? You may suggest them via email: huynhw@piercecollege.edu.
